Meet Rick Szostak - Liberal Candidate Edmonton Whitemud

Greeting to voters of Edmonton - Whitemud

Greetings to Residents:

I am honoured to have been selected as the Liberal candidate in Edmonton Whitemud. I have lived in Edmonton since 1985 and in Brookside in Edmonton Whitemud since 1993. I have traveled internationally a great deal, and have always felt both proud and fortunate to be Canadian. We have inherited a prosperous and caring society from previous generations. I feel a strong personal sense of duty to help make this an even better province for future generations.

We can and should do a better job both of conserving our environment and helping less fortunate members of society to lead productive and satisfying lives. We can also do much to strengthen our health and post-secondary education sectors, and to encourage economic prosperity. I, like most Albertans, recognize an important role for government in these and other areas, but insist that all government programs be carefully evaluated to ensure efficiency and to minimize undesirable side effects. I also believe that public discourse can and should be honest and respectful, and look forward to discussing these and other issues with residents of Edmonton Whitemud over the course of this campaign.
